Many visitors sometimes leave Kythira with a complaint that they did not get to visit them all. And they are right because there are many. At the same time, this creates many choices that satisfy all tastes. At any point on the island, if you choose to stay, it is certain that there will be a nice beach near you.
Beginning our tour of the island’s northernmost seaside village, Plateia Ammos with sandy beach and medium size.
Continuing to the south-west of the island in the village of Agia Pelagia with organized beach large in size from fine pebbles and sand.
Next to it is the organized Kakia Lagada beach, awarded with blue flag, with fine sand and overlooking the mountains of the Peloponnese.
What’s down at Diakofti Port of Kythira with its organized beach and the finest sandy beach on the island.
Immediately after the village of Avlemonas in Paleopolis the homonymous beach of fine pebbles and sand, which is the largest in Kythira.
Then the Kaladi beach in the shape of a pebbled omega and you are considered one of the most beautiful on the island.
Next to her is the Fyri Ammos with a fine reddish pebble, large in size, for the clear waters she has won the Blue Flag award.
Next is Kombonada that is big beach with pebble white and round near the village of Karvounades.
Immediately afterwards, the small picturesque beach of Chalkos with fine pebbles near Kalamos village.
In the southernmost part of the island in the cosmopolitan Kapsali with the organized beach, with fine pebbles and view of the castle of Chora.
Continuing from the west side of the island is the enchanting beach of Melidoni with sand and small size.
The next beach is located in the small fishing village of Limonas near the village of Mylopotamos with fine sand and small in size.
Ending our walk around the island, there is Nicodemos beach of medium size with fine pebbles near the village of Logothetianika.
